Recreational Twirlers Recreational students meet once a week. They learn the basic twirls, marching skills, and dance steps. They are also taught a parade routine, that will give them the opportunity to perform at various activities.
Competitive Team Athletes VBC competitive team athletes start as young as 5 years old. The competitive teams perform at United States Twirling Association sanctioned competitions and attend the State, Regional, and National events. All competitions are adjudicated by USTA officials. Competitive athletes march in parades, solo performances, as well as teams. Competitive classes are one and half hours long, once a week. As competitive athletes, there are team entry fees, practice clothes, costumes, and performance shoes. These items do not need to be purchased at one time, but can be done over the course of the competition season. |
